Scientists investigated the recruitment of Slug and NFATc1 at the D-loop regulatory region of mitochondrial DNA in osteogenic differentiated human mesenchymal stem cells with the aim of exploring whether Slug and NFATc1 also act as mitoTFs in the mitochondrial pool of nuclear transcription factors. High Glucose Induces Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell Senescence by Upregulating Autophagy
Researchers investigated the role of high glucose (HG)-induced autophagy in bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell senescence.
